Hi 👋
I'm the data analyst you're looking for. Here's why:

Engineering Background

After getting my master's in chemical engineering, I worked for six years as a project engineer in the energy industry. From this experience, I know what it's like to work within international and multi-disciplinary teams on high-stake projects.

On a subsea oil & gas project, you don't have the luxury of wasting time. And when dealing with mechanical components for a nuclear power plant, you quickly get the importance of getting things right the first time.

I'm fortunate that I got so much out of this first part of my career. And with the feeling of having successfully completed this cycle, I was ready to take on new challenges.

So, I went for it in 2019.

Self-drive, Resilience, Broad Skills

Launched an ecommerce business. It didn't work. And I learned from that. Focused on investing and trading. Luckily, I'm having more success with the stock market.

With the freedom to explore my interests, I took on web development, design, copywriting, and delved into the world of machine learning.

Over the past five years, not only did I acquire a bunch of valuable skills, but I've also proven my resilience. Starting projects from scratch. Learning new skills on my own. I can say that I'm organized and self-driven because I put my character to the test.

I'm grateful for this whole journey because it set me on the path to becoming a data analyst. I've been interested in the potential of AI and machine learning for years, but I wasn't sure how to make this my new career. Until now.

Made for Data Science

As you'll see below, I've started by building strong foundations with SQL, Excel, and Power BI. From there, my plan is to be a well-rounded data analyst by adding Tableau to my toolbox, and by diving deeper into data wrangling with Python.

But data is more than numbers and varchars. It reveals the story of a business. I'm bringing critical thinking, clear and effective communication, sprinkled with clean design skills to tell these stories.

Whatever technology or software is in your stack, I'm happy to learn it. I'm always eager to learn new things and get sharper. And I've become a rather efficient learner.

The Package Deal

I come with a built-in analytical mind. An appetite to learn more and improve. And a good business sense. With me in your team, you get a reliable problem-solver who's easy to work with.

Did I mention I'm flexible and quick to adapt? I've worked from typical open-space offices, on my laptop at home, and in a 40-feet container in the jungle. So, yeah, I can deal with pretty much anything you throw my way.

My bosses have always trusted me to make their life easier, and so should you 😉

Companies I've Worked For

Ready for some good old social proof?

Here's a list of big names in the Oil & Gas and Nuclear Energy industries, along with some billion-dollar projects I worked on:

EDF

Nuclear Valves Contract Engineer

2016 - 2019 · Paris, France

EDF is the world's second largest electricity producer and a major player in nuclear energy. I was Technical Lead on valve procurement contracts for Flamanville 3 and Hinkley Point C EPR newbuild projects. My responsibilities included:

  • Surveillance of Manufacturer's design documentation
  • Update of contract technical specifications

Technip, Eni

Contract Engineer

2015 - 2016 · Paris, France

Eni, one of the seven supermajor oil companies, developed the Block 15 offshore field in Angola. Working as Contract Engineer for Technip, the Subsea Transport & Installation contractor on this project, my main tasks were to:

  • Prepare variation order proposals
  • Manage interfaces with engineering, operations, and project control

Saipem, BP

Project Coordinator

2013 - 2014 · Luanda office and Soyo base, Angola

Saipem is a world leader in oilfield services. In the Maintenance and Modification department, I worked on projects for Sonangol and BP in Angola.

  • Coordinate offshore maintenance activities from the fabrication yard
  • Administration of maintenance support services and turnaround contracts

ExxonMobil

Process Training Engineer

2012 · Port Jérôme refinery, Normandy, France

Data is the new oil, they say. Real-world data is messy and needs methodical cleansing before turning into valuable insights. Well, that's funny because I started my career in a refinery.

  • Localization of process training material for field operators
